We are the REBLE Collective

REBLE is an independent research and consultancy collective. We are a group of 10 individuals from marginalised communities with a diverse range of skills and experiences, seeking to make change in the world of research.

We partner with non-profit organizations, healthcare providers, researchers, and community members.

Our mission is to drive positive change for patients, individuals with diverse experiences, staff, neighbourhoods, and institutions.

RESEARCH

We believe in the value of research and are able to support projects using our lived experience and unique set of skills at all stages of the research process. We have previously used our knowledge in research planning, survey design, methodology design, ethics consultation, and during the data dissemination stage. Our lived experience can provide unique perspective and new insight into findings.

In addition, we are able to support and/or facilitate focus groups, interviews, and creative workshops.

REPRESENT

As a group we are passionate about raising the voices of those unheard, and represent a diverse range of communities.
We are able to also provide connections to many of these communities through our individual networks.

Learn more about us on our 'ABOUT' page.

REINFORCE

Our goals also extend to embedding lived experience in organisations, through our workshops and the sharing of resources. We are able to provide consultation services and deliver teaching on the value of lived experience and positive language, and tools to integrate lived experience into your activities.

In particular, we offer forum theatre workshops - a unique and innovative way of teaching the practice of lived experience.

Our Story

REBLE (Research Enabled by Lived Experience) have been collaborating since January 2021 to enhance shared decision-making and foster co-creation.
REBLE is made up of 10 individuals, all of whom have a wide range of skills, knowledge and experiences in representing our communities, which include:

People with learning disabilities; neurodiversity; people with mental health diagnoses; black and minority ethnic communities; LGBTQ+ communities; Gypsy and traveller community; older and younger people.

We are from impoverished communities (urban and rural), who experience isolation and digital exclusion. Many of us also have long-term and multiple health conditions and more than one identity, so we recognise the intersectionality of our lives and experiences.
